Did you know that PHA has a non-profit foundation?

Back in 2001 Dr. Tim Wall founded the non-profit CareLink Foundation (http://www.carelinkfoundation.org/) on the premise of helping families living below the federal poverty limit to be able to receive their school and sports physicals for free when their insurance did not cover them. Being a former board member of District 203, Dr. Wall wanted to ensure that children within DuPage County could meet admission requirements for school and school sports programs. Over the years, hundreds of children have been seen. Physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses from all over the community donate their time and talent to help our families in need.

CareLink also has ongoing programs during the year such as car seats classes for new parents to learn the proper installation and use of car seats along with providing the car seats after the class is completed. Our special needs children in the community who need to see a specialist but cannot get to one due to lack of transportation or language barriers are provided taxis and interpreters at no cost so they can receive the treatment they need.

It is only through the generous support of our friends and neighbors in the community that CareLink can provide these services. Being in tough economic times, many charities are hurting and CareLink is not immune to this downturn. If you are looking to help those in your neighbors who are going through tough times, please consider making a financial donation to CareLink so that the children can be provided with some of the things their parents cannot afford.

Each year CareLink holds an annual golf outing as a fundraiser. This years outing will be held at Seven Bridges Golf Course in Woodridge, Illinois on September 21st starting at noon. Wont you join us for a day of fun in the sun? If you would like to register to golf or to be a sponsor, please call the CareLink Foundation at 630-293-9190.

If you are not a golfer but would still like to donate, please send your gift to the CareLink Foundation, 550 East Washington, Suite E, West Chicago, Illinois 60185. You may also donate securely over the internet at http://www.networkforgood.org/.

Thank you for improving the lives of our children. May you be blessed as richly as you bless others!
