Naperville Food Pantry

Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry is moving to a larger facility!  Doubling their space, their new address is 1871 High Grove Lane in Naperville.  The new facility will open for business on Saturday, February 5th with Mayor Pradel cutting the grand opening ribbon at 8 a.m.   Food distribution will begin immediately afterwards.

With the mission of providing food and leadership in the community, Loaves and Fishes provides resources to assist people in becoming self sufficient.  Besides providing a food bank, they will be hosting their first "Pathways to Empowerment" program that day which will address nutritional education, financial skills, mental health and literacy for people within the community.

For those whose income is less that $49,000/year or are over the age of 60 can find free income tax assistance as well.

We all know the economy is still weak and many people are still jobless and/or losing their homes.  Many have exhausted their unemployment benefits.  Many parents are foregoing their own nutritional needs as they try to have enough to feed their children.

Please consider making a donation to Loaves and Fishes to help provide for those who are facing hard times.  We never know when hard times will hit or whether they will affect our family.   Should we face such circumstances wouldn't it be a relief to know there is more than enough food to go around and that our children won't go to bed hungry?
